There are several distinct advantages to the international investor :

Firstly , the climate is excellent throughout the year , with daytime average of 30 celcius and 20 - 25 celcius in the evenings.

Secondly , the flying time from Europe is much more acceptable than the established destinations in the south eg. Rio de Janeiro , with mainland Europe only about a 7 hour flight to Natal and Salvador.

Thirdly , infastructure ( airports , roads etc. ) is rapidly improving throughout the North East.

A large , luxury development development in Pitimbu ,south of Joao Pessoa , has just received final approval , with work commencing Oct.2007 and completion due in approx. 3 years. This will offer two 5 star hotels , 18 hole international golf course , helipad , luxury health & spa, various high quality property options ,including villages of bungalows. There will also be a convention centre , sports & leisure centre , all contained within a vast 340 hectares , including 1.5km of beachfront.

It is one of the greenest , most fertile coastal areas , with many sugarcane and pineapple plantations and has a wider,higher quality ,value for money ,range of property and land options , both coastal and inland, not available in most other coastal states.

In addition to its' gorgeous beaches and coastline , Paraiba offers many tourist attractions , including Campina Grande , the states' second City , which hosts one of the worlds biggest carnivals of its' type , annually throughout June. The state has rich and diverse culture and architecture , with numerous historical sites and protected areas , portraying the inflence of its' many settlers , particularly the Portuguese , Spanish , Dutch and French.

The airports of Recife (80km) and Natal (140km) are approx. 1 and 2 hours drive , and Joao Pessoa airport is also due to start receiving international flights soon. All 3 airports and the roads within the area are currently expanding , together with other forms of infastructure , from what is generally , already a good standard.
